Welcome to Schools and College Programmes at The Source Skills Academy.

Working in partnership with local schools The Source Skills Academy delivers Retail, Distribution, Customer Service and Employability qualifications. Skilled Tutors deliver this wide range of courses which lead to exciting progression routes in Retail and Business.

Each programme includes practical activities combined with research and written work to make the courses fun and interactive for students. Activities include role-plays, planning showroom layouts in The Source's own mock shop, field trips and guest speakers. Various functional skills can also be integrated into qualifications where required.

Short courses can also be delivered to year 9 - 11 pupils, enhancing employability skills to prepare them for work experience. The range of qualifications include:
- BTEC First Diploma in Business
- Edexcel Level 3 Advanced Retail Business Diploma
- Workskills Award, Certificate and Diploma entry 3-level 2
- BTEC Award/Certificate in Retail Knowledge Level 1 & 2
- BTEC Award/Certificate in Customer Service Level 1
- Business Administration Level 1
- Retail Works Booklet - certificated but not accredited

To enhance the learning experience, work placements are sourced in Meadowhall, Rotherham and Sheffield giving students a valuable opportunity to gain practical work experience. Risk assessments are conducted for each placement, and the student's progress is monitored through a supervisors report on a monthly basis. Many students have successfully completed work placements throughout their courses.
