Working in partnership with local schools The Source Skills Academy delivers Retail, Distribution, Customer Service and Employability qualifications. Qualified teachers with extensive occupational competence provide the opportunity for pupils to pursue these qualifications either on site or within their respective schools.
Throughout each programme, practical activities are combined with research and written work. Activities include role-plays, planning showroom layouts, field trips and guest speakers. Various functional skills can also be integrated into qualifications where required.
To enhance the learning experience, placements are found within Meadowhall, Rotherham and Sheffield providing the students with a valuable opportunity to gain work experience. Risk assessments are conducted for each placement, and the student's progress is monitored through a supervisors report on a monthly basis. Many students have successfully completed one-day per week placements throughout their courses.
Short courses can also be delivered to year 9 - 11 pupils, enhancing employability skills to prepare them for work experience.

- BTEC First Diploma in Retail Level 2
- BTEC Award/Certificate in Retail Knowledge Level 1
- BTEC Award/Certificate in Customer Service Level 1 & 2
- Work Skills (all units) Entry 3, Level 1 & 2
- Business Administration Level 1 & 2 Award
- Retail Works Booklet - certificated but not accredited
- Retail Business Diploma Level 2 (7 GCSE A-C)
- Retail Business Diploma Level 3 (3.5 A Levels)
