Student enquiry is a free service offered at The Source Skills Academy to schools and colleges. One aspect of this service is to provide a presentation based on Meadowhall and The Source Skills Academy. This covers aspects such as:
- History of Meadowhall
- Location
- Centre layout
- Departments
- Management
The Student Enquiries Officer, who has extensive knowledge of Meadowhall and The Source Skills Academy, delivers these presentations at The Source Skills Academy. This usually takes approximately one hour and consists of a PowerPoint presentation with time allowed for questions.
The presentation can be tailored to meet the need of the students, for example, emphasis can be given on customer service, security, marketing or finance. Handouts are available on request for students that require evidence for portfolio work. As these presentations take place on site, the students are able to visit Meadowhall Centre to gain further information for course work.
The presentations take place in one of the state of the art training rooms here at The Source Skills Academy, which can accommodate groups of up to 60 students.
This service is available to primary schools, secondary schools and universities throughout the UK and can be adapted for different age groups and stages of learning.
Another aspect of the student enquiry service is the Telephone and Internet Enquiries Service. Students, teachers and community can contact The Source Skills Academy with any enquiries about Meadowhall. These are answered in full within 48 hours of receipt by email, telephone or post. Attaching Fact Packs and Hot Topic sheets based on each department can enhance the enquiry.
