The Source Skills Academy supported National Apprenticeship Week in February, unleashing their Apprenticeship Hit Squad on Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
On Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February, the Apprenticeship Hit Squad spoke to retailers in Meadowhall Shopping Centre to offer advice, information and guidance on recruiting Apprentices and training existing staff in store.
The hit squad was armed with key information that could help retailers grow their business with enthusiastic young talent. If a business is looking to recruit an Apprentice, The Source does all the hard work; advertising, recruiting and shortlisting for the vacancy. The qualifications are then delivered in the workplace, offering a convenient solution for workforce development.
Mike Denby, Business Communication Manager at The Source, said: "The Apprenticeship Hit Squad has been established to offer advice and guidance for retailers - whether it be answering commonly asked questions, or the most in depth query. Meadowhall Shopping Centre is proactive in developing their workforce through Apprenticeships, having recently recruited 11 Apprentices to join their team and they are keen to share the opportunities available with retailers within the centre."
