Pioneering Quality at Hellaby Hall Hotel

Hellaby Hall Hotel in Rotherham is pioneering quality customer service after embracing nationally recognised qualifications for staff.

After identifying the need for exceptional customer service in the current climate, Hellaby Hall collaborated with The Source to enrol several members of staff onto nationally recognised qualifications.

The four star hotel provides conference facilities in addition to ninety bedrooms, fitness facilities and a contemporary restaurant, and maintaining a high level of hospitality is key to the hotel's success.

General Manager Tom Waldron-Lynch said: "With customer service a priority at our hotel, we embrace every opportunity to improve the quality of our service. The qualifications delivered by The Source not only ensure all staff are working to the same high standard, but are also a fantastic way to reward hard work with a nationally recognised qualification."

After initially enrolling two members of the housekeeping department onto hospitality qualifications, the success was apparent and further staff members have recently been enrolled onto the courses.

Sarah Watkins, Hospitality Supervisor said: "The qualification is a great way to develop skills that are specific to your role and is really convenient as it is delivered in the workplace.  Because the courses are funded by the government, staff development does not have to cost the organisation a penny and staff are educated to a national standard. I am really enjoying my hospitality qualification as my Tutor is pointing out more efficient ways to do things and I am receiving a nationally recognised qualification in the process."
