Meet the Team - Sarah-Lou Rixon
Meet the Team - Sarah-Lou Rixon
7th January 2009

Today we learn a little more about Sarah-Lou, a member of The Source Gym Team.

So then Sarah-Lou, our resident Personal Trainer, tell us a little more about what you do.
Looking after people is my purpose in life, particularly from a fitness point of view! I teach personal training both in and out of The Source, look after some of the GP referral clients and teach various classes.

With fitness on everyone's mind in January, what can you offer your clients as a Personal Trainer?
A Personal Trainer is good for motivation. If you are starting out as a novice, we give you the correct guidance and help to improve your lifestyle. Some people come and see me once or maybe twice a week, and some need me when they relapse or need to get back on track.

Do you have any success stories of people wishing to shape up after a food laden Christmas?
We've had lots of success stories at the gym, with people that have lost considerable amounts of weight, inches, improved their fitness, got stronger and met partners, achieved their sporting goals including 10k and half marathons, or some people just want to maintain what they have.

What sets The Source Gym apart from other gyms?
Our gym may not be the largest in South Yorkshire, but I feel that I am part of a great team, that is managed well and that truly cares about its members and their wellbeing.

And the question on everyone's lips... how much weight did you put on over Christmas?!?  I've not got weighed yet!! I don't tend to get weighed very often as my weight is generally quite steady. However, I have eaten and drunk a little more than normal, but have hopefully counterbalanced the overindulgence with going running in the Christmas holidays; a sport that I really enjoy.
