CIEH Principles of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Principles of COSHH is aimed at those who use substances hazardous to health at work, and introduces students to the hazards associated with those substances and control measures that they can use.
The topics covered are:
- Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace.
- Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes.
- COSHH assessment and control options.
- Responsibilities imposed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999
Your course will be followed by an examination conducted under strict examination conditions.
The examination is a 1 hour multiple-choice examination and the minimum required pass mark is 20 correct answers out of 30.
Your trainer will give clear instructions on examination conduct on the day. Your completed answer sheets will be posted immediately to CIEH for marking and the results will then be returned to The Source Academy. We will then post your certificate to you if successful, or provide information on retaking your examination if not. Replacements for lost or stolen certificates are issued at the discretion of the CIEH (fee payable).
